Marketing Manager-Administration, Alabama Credit Union
This position will be responsible for improving the Credit Union’s competitive position, consistent with its mission, within the markets served; develop objectives, policies, and programs for marketing activities of the Credit Union; plan, direct, and coordinate the efforts of marketing and sales toward the accomplishment of overall objectives.
Duties (Note: This list of duties is NOT all-inclusive.)
- Directs all advertising and sales promotions, advertising programs and collateral materials.
- Serves as a primary liaison to ad agency.
- Directs marketing and sales planning, including an analysis of competitive products/services and selling techniques, legislation, budgets, pricing, and distribution.
- Coordinates special events related to marketing initiatives.
- Develops, proposes, gains acceptance for, and implements strategic plans designed to meet the Credit Union’s short- and long-term marketing objectives.
- Assists with the coordination and management of sponsor group relationships, and Bama Bound/UAH Compass enrollments.
- Conducts market research and recommends for product/service modifications or improvements.
- Supervises Marketing Assistant in efforts to maintain social networking, implement promotions, monitor research data, and other related duties.
- Serves on various committees and projects, including the ACU Community Involvement Committee and youth financial education effort.
- Manage external website; manage MCIF system and serve as a liaison to marketing/data consultant.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Successful candidates will possess the following:
- Five to ten years of similar or related experience, preferably within a credit union setting
- A bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field
- A significant level of trustworthiness and diplomacy, in addition to normal courtesy and tact
- Ability to motivate or influence others and create sound relationships with internal and external entities
- Proficiency in the use of a personal computer to include design/layout applications, MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, HTML software and ability to use web and web-based applications
- Proficiency in the use of a 10-key calculator
- Ability to count cash
- Keyboarding 40 wpm
- Ability to quickly gain thorough knowledge and understanding of ACU policies and procedures
- Knowledge and understanding of governmental regulations for financial institutions
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Good organizational skills.
