AAF Tuscaloosa has once again been recognized at the national level for Public Service. In this year’s club achievement award, we have won the 2nd place award for our division at the national level! Congratulations!

International Advertising Expert to Present in March

Regina Lewis, PhD will be the featured speaker at our March 2012 club meeting. She will present “Creating Charismatic Marketing Through Audience Insights.” Dr. Lewis, who was a member of UA’s Advertising and Public Relations (APR) faculty during the late 1990s, has returned to the department as Visiting Professor after spending more than 10 years in the corporate environment. As of August, Dr. Lewis will be an Associate Professor in APR.

Most recently, Lewis was VP of Global Insights for InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG), where she led a drive to grow the Holiday Inn, Crowne Plaza and InterContinental hotel brands both domestically and internationally through break-through consumer understanding. While at IHG, she divided her time between Atlanta, the UK and Singapore. Prior to her time at IHG, Lewis leveraged a multi-million dollar budget to position the Dunkin’ Donuts brand for success. Other brands with which Lewis has partnered during her Insights career include Amazon.com, GlaxoSmithKline, P&G and Levi’s, to name a few.

Lewis received her PhD in Communications Research from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, her MBA in Marketing from Columbia University, and her B.S. in Journalism from Ohio University. Her passions include understanding different cultures through travel, running and animal rescue.
