Congratulations to De’Ja Stevens, recipient of the Mom ’N’ I Publishing/American Advertising Federation Tuscaloosa Diversity Scholarship. De’Ja is a junior journalism major at Stillman, where she serves as Student Government Association Vice President of External Affairs and an active member of the Campus Queens Association. She is an honor student and an intern at WVUA23-TV in Tuscaloosa, AL. The Atlanta, GA native, who enjoys advertising, journalism and TV production, said, “My long-term career goal is to open up a production company, where I will produce and direct independent films.”
The mission of AAF Tuscaloosa is to provide a medium for the exchange of professional interests and to promote professionalism; to promote and protect advertising; to strengthen its membership through training, education, and professional development; to encourage community involvement through service, advertising, fundraising; and to support the goals and objectives of the American Advertising Federation.
