AAF Tuscaloosa welcomed PRCA West Alabama and the annual presentations of the Bateman and National Student Advertising Competitions in April.
In 2016, the National Student Advertising Competition (NSAC) required each college chapter to to develop a written integrated marketing campaign proposal and a 20-minute presentation in response to a real-world advertising challenge currently faced by Snapple. Snapple, part of Dr. Pepper, is the third largest non-alcoholic beverage company in the U.S.
The Ad Team campaign for Snapple won Second Place in the 7th District and Best Plansbook, as well. Team member Ashley Paulmeno won the Mosaic Diversity Scholarship from the District.
The Bateman PR competition team is headed to Chicago to compete in the National Finals among the top three teams on May 18. In addition to the work they did for the competition with the Campus Veterans Association, they obtained a grant for $2,000 to continue their work with CVA and the “InTheChair” campaign in the 2016-17 school year.
